Companies using cloud services are growing increasingly concerned about getting locked in and not being able to switch vendors, according to Mary Meeker's annual Internet Trends report, Recode says.
In 2015, 22% of respondents said they were concerned about being locked in, while that figure was only 7% in 2012.
Today's startups are using at least one of the major cloud services, such as Amazon.com's (AMZN) Amazon Web Services or Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google Cloud, Recode added. This suggests that the companies are having to choose a larger provider for the long term.
