Communications equipment maker
raised its second-quarter outlook.
The Hickory N.C.-based company said it now expects second-quarter sales of $400 million to $420 million, up from previous guidance of $390 million to $410 million. The company forecasts operating margin of 7.5% to 8.5% as against the previous estimate of 7% to 8%.
Competition between service providers continues to drive demand for CommScope's broadband cable products and environmentally secure cabinets, it said.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial were expecting second-quarter sales of $374.7 million.
Shares rose 77 cents to $28.53.
