announced Thursday that its president and chief operating officer has been elected chief executive by the company's board of directors, effective immediately.
Scott D. Farmer replaced Robert J. Kohlhepp as chief executive. Kohlhepp is now vice chairman.
Farmer joined the company in 1981 as a management trainee. He has held positions including vice president of marketing and merchandising and vice president of the national account division.
Kohlhepp, who has been with the company since 1967, will still work in strategic planning and investor relations at Cintas.
