NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Is 2015 the return of the muscle car? Chevrolet is releasing two new versions of its classic american vehicles , the Corvette Z06 and the Camaro Z28. Built with road racing in mind, each is revolutionary in both construction and handling. TheStreet visited Monticello Motor Club in Monticello, NY to test drive the Camaro Z28. We found both the Corvette and Camaro are out to change performance cars in America. Here's a look at both vehicles, each set for their debut in 2015:
The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette 206. "The new Z06 delivers levels of performance, technology and design that rival the most exotic supercars in the world," said Mark Reuss, president, General Motors North America.
With a price set between $80,000 and $100,00, the American supercar's run is expected to sell out.
The Z06 is equipped with all new Michelin Pilot Super Cup tires and Brembo carbon ceramic-matri brake rotors. Currently, the Z06 has recorded the fastest lap ever from a Corvette production model.
Blending together racing and production model Corvettes, the Z06's interior has been outfitted with carbon fiber, napa leather, aluminum and micro-suede.
The 2015 Camaro Z28. Track testing resulted in the car clocking in at a whopping 7:37.47 on Germany's famous Nurburgring.

Track testing the 2015 Camaro Z28. The 2 door muscle car was designed for for road racing, according to GM.
Each of the 3000 Z28's produced will be outfitted with Pirelli PZERO Trofeo R summer only tires. A massive splitter connects the the front of the car to the underbody, reducing the amount of lift the car gets at maximum speeds.
With a no-frills interior and soft touch materials, the Camaro Z28 will be priced at $75,000.
