Chemtura Boosts Antioxidant Prices
The owner of Great Lakes Chemical cites rising raw material and energy costs.
Chemtura (CEM) and its Great Lakes Chemical unit raised prices on antioxidants by as much as 19%, citing rising raw material and energy costs.
The Middlebury, Conn., company said phenolic antioxidants will see an increase of 18%, effective Oct. 1. In the solid phosphite product line, Alkanox 240 (offered by Great Lakes) pricing is being increased 5% and Ultranox 646 (offered by Chemtura) pricing will be increased 19%. Antioxidant blends will be increased 12% and NDB blends will see increases pro rata based upon composition.
On Thursday, Chemtura fell 6 cents to $16.02.
