Chemtura Boosts Antioxidant Prices
The owner of Great Lakes Chemical cites rising raw material and energy costs.
Chemtura (CEM) - Get Report and its Great Lakes Chemical unit raised prices on antioxidants by as much as 19%, citing rising raw material and energy costs.
The Middlebury, Conn., company said phenolic antioxidants will see an increase of 18%, effective Oct. 1. In the solid phosphite product line, Alkanox 240 (offered by Great Lakes) pricing is being increased 5% and Ultranox 646 (offered by Chemtura) pricing will be increased 19%. Antioxidant blends will be increased 12% and NDB blends will see increases pro rata based upon composition.
On Thursday, Chemtura fell 6 cents to $16.02.
