ChemChina, the Chinese national chemical corporation, is quickly moving to close its $43 billion deal to acquire Syngenta (SYT) , a Swiss producer of agrochemicals and seeds, by the end of May, according to the Financial Times.
The firm said today that May 4 would be the end of its main offer period for Syngenta. Consequently, the deal could be completed by the end of May.
The statement comes a day after ChemChina received pro-forma clearance from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.
