
Charlie Sheen Loses Custody Battle
NEW YORK (
) -- Charlie Sheen has lost a custody battle with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller for their twin two year-old sons Max and Bob on Tuesday, according to media reports.
After a two-hour hearing, a Los Angeles judge ruled that both parties will keep the custody rights they agreed upon in their March 10 settlement,

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hank Goldberg closed Tuesday's session to the media at the request of Mueller's attorney, saying it was "in the best interest of the children" because of "questions of abuse and other inflammatory and emotional issues,"

"Two and a Half Men" star was trying to gain sole custody from Mueller, 33, after she apparently relapsed in her struggle with a drug addiction, according to reports. Both Sheen and Mueller have been in and out of rehab for drug and alcohol addiction in recent months.
Last month, Mueller won a temporary restraining order against Sheen. The two children were removed by police from his home by authorities after she alleged that he had been abusive to her and claimed she was afraid of violent comments he had made in recent days.
The 45-year-old actor was
fired from the hit comedy show
in March after appearing in a series of interviews in which he repeatedly voiced dissatisfaction with the producers of the sitcom.
Sheen filed a $100 million lawsuit
against
Time Warner's
(TWX)
Warner Bros. and Lorre a few weeks ago after being fired from the popular sitcom.
The lawsuit demands that the studio pay him for the eight episodes of the eighth season of "Two and a Half Men" that will not be produced, according to a copy of the suit.
Sheen is currently in the midst of his national tour titled "My Violent Torpedo of Truth --Defeat is Not an Option." His next performance is scheduled for Tuesday night in Washington D.C.
