Charlie Sheen is set to star in a new comedy on FX next summer.

The actor, who was fired from
CBS'
(CBS) - Get Report
Two and a Half Men
, will star in the series loosely based on the 2003 Adam Sandler-Jack Nicholson movie of the same name.

FX ordered 10 episodes of
Anger Management
, which will air this summer, with the option of picking up 90 additional episodes.
Sheen was fired from
Two and a Half Men
due to his erratic personal life. Sheen will have some creative control on the new series.
