Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government is said to be looking to introduce legislation to legalize marijuana by July 1, 2018, a CBC News report suggests.

The Liberal government will reportedly introduce the legislation during the week of April 10. For those Canadians that want to grow their own pot at home, the legislation would limit them to four plants per household.

Canada's recreational marijuana sector could hit $4.5 billion in sales by 2021, Canaccord Genuity wrote in a note back in November, Bloomberg noted.
