Media company BuzzFeed will be going public in 2018, Axios reported Wednesday, after years of turning down buyout offers from potential suitors. 

About 50% of BuzzFeed's 200 million unique monthly visitors are in the 18-34 age group coveted by advertisers. About 70% of its web traffic comes from mobile devices. 

NBCUniversal (CMCSA) - Get Report is currently invested in the company, which has 1,300 employees spread out across 18 offices globally.
