BOMBAY -- Bombay stocks rose for the third day in a row Wednesday.
The BSE Sensex rose 201.66 points, or 1.9%, to close at 10,617.27, on the back of strong corporate results.
Gainers on the index were
, up 4.2%,
up 4.1%, and
, up 3.9%.
ONGC said its first-quarter earnings rose 24%, led by record crude oil prices.
The only losers on the index were
, down 1.1%, and
, down 0.2%.
gained 3.7% after it reported a 76.4% rise in its first-quarter profit.
