Bombay Stocks Rise Again
Bombay stocks notched another record Wednesday, gaining for the third straight session.
The BSE Sensex rose 109 points to close at 11,747. Bank, pharma and auto stocks contibuted to the rally.
The top gainer was generics major

, which shot up 7.3%. Cement maker
ACC
surged 5.3% and engineering company
Larsen & Toubro
gained 4.2% in news it got a big highway project.
The top loser on the BSE Sensex was software outfit
Satyam
, which fell 1.8%. Meanwhile
Infosys

lost 1.2% and infotech major
TCS
dropped 0.9%.
Asian Electronics
gained 5% on reports that the company will raise $60 million in a stock offering.
Sasken Communication Technologies
rose 4.9% on reports that the company has acquired Chennai-based SoftTech Solutions.
3i Infotech
rose 3.2% on reports that the company has acquired Datacons.
