
Bombay Stocks Jump Again
The Sensex adds 3.6% on top of Thursday's 6.9% advance.
BOMBAY -- Bombay stocks rose for a second straight session Friday, advancing 3.6%.
The 30-share Sensex index rose 339 points to close at 9,884.51, adding to Thursday's 6.9% rally. Still, the Sensex remains 22% below its May 11 peak.

, which surged 12%,

, up 9%, and

, up 8.6%.

Indian Oil
gained 8.6%. It reached an agreement with Nagarjuna Oil for buying petro products from the 6-million-tonne refinery that Nagarjuna is putting up in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu.
