BNP Paribas Reports 46% Jump in Net Profit
PARIS (TheStreet) -- BNP Paribas notched a 46% increase in third-quarter profit as the bank's retail banking results improved.
The French bank said it had a third-quarter profit of €1.91 billion ($2.7 billion), which rose from a year-ago profit of €1.31 billion.
BNP Paribas said revenue climbed 1.8% from a year ago to €10.86 billion, which came as growth in retail banking and investment solutions offset a 7.3% decline in corporate and investment banking revenue.
Analysts were expecting a third-quarter profit of €1.72 billion and €10.45 billion, according to a poll by
