NEW YORK (

TheStreet

) --

Bloomberg LP

is back to considering a bid for

BusinessWeek

and may meet with executives of the

McGraw-Hill

(MHP)

magazine next week to gather more information,

BusinessWeek

reports on its Web site.

Final bids for the news magazine are due Tuesday, Sept. 15.

Bloomberg previously passed on

BusinessWeek

, following talks that were held much earlier, reports

BusinessWeek

media columnist Jon Fine, who added that it isn't clear what drew Bloomberg back into the process. Fine's report cited several sources familiar with the situation.

Spokespeople at Bloomberg and McGraw-Hill declined to comment.

At least 10 companies, including Bloomberg, have taken part in management presentations in which buyers get more detailed information on the magazine's operations. Fine reports that among those parties Bruce Wasserstein, CEO of

Lazard

(LAZ) - Get Report

,

ZelnickMedia

and private-equity firm

Opengate

still remain interested in

BusinessWeek

.

McGraw-Hill said in July it was putting the magazine up for sale.
