The new plant-based ground meat, made without GMOs, soy or gluten, will hit retail shelves later this week.
The product "allows consumers to enjoy all the culinary versatility of ground beef, with the added nutritional and environmental benefits of eating plant-based meat," Ethan Brown, Beyond Meat's founder and CEO, said in a statement.
Within the next few weeks Whole Foods, Harris Teeter, Lowes, Safeway, Stop & Shop and other retailers will stock the product.
Beyond Meat's stock has jumped 129% since it debuted in May. The stock was rising 4.7% to $157.69 per share.
