Beyond Meat (BYND) is on a roll after announcing it is expanding its partnership with Carl's Jr. to bring its meatless burger to its restaurants in Canada.
Beyond Famous Star with Cheese at Carl Jr.'s in Canada will be its first expansion of the product into international markets.
"After the wild success of the Beyond Famous Star in our U.S. Carl's Jr. locations and hearing consumer feedback and demand for a plant-based option at our Canada locations, we knew it was the perfect time to add the Beyond Famous Star to our menu internationally," said Mike Woida, president of international, CKE restaurants.
This expansion comes on the back of Beyond Meat and KFC's (YUM - Get Report) successful test of launch of Beyond Fried Chicken, a plant-based alternative to the fast food chain's fried chicken offering.
The company piloted the dish at a single location in Atlanta on Tuesday, and reportedly sold out of the product in five hours.
Beyond Meat shares are rising 0.23% to $157.38 Wednesday morning.
