Cosmetics and beauty products maker
said Tuesday it expects to meet Wall Street's earnings expectations for the fourth quarter.

First Call/Thomson Financial
are calling for Avon, New York, to earn 65 cents in the quarter. The company, which earned 58 cents in the year-ago period, said it was comfortable with the consensus estimate.
Avon also expects sales to increase 4% to 5% in the quarter. The company is targeting mid-single-digit sales growth for 2001 and is comfortable with analysts' expectations for a profit of $2.10 to $2.12 a share for the year.
