agreed to acquire Skydata of Canada.
Terms weren't disclosed, but Melville, N.Y.-based Arrow, a distributor of electronic components and computer products, called Skydata a data storage solution distributor based in Mississauga, Ontario.
Arrow said the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be complete during the current fiscal quarter. Skydata posted 2005 sales about $43 million.

"Recognized for the value-add it provides, Skydata represents a significant expansion of our EMC business in North America and extends Arrow's ability to help VARs sell, implement and support industry-leading storage solutions."
Arrow rose 17 cents Wednesday to $34.42.
