Apple (AAPL) said today that is payment technology, Apple Pay, will now be able to support limitless transactions at a majority of UK contactless points of sale, the Telegraph reports.
The previous limit has been £30, but now more than half of contactless payment terminals in the UK can take Apple Pay transactions of any value, head of Apple Pay Jennifer Bailey said.
"We think the majority of the contactless terminals [in the UK] are now limitless," she noted.
"If you think about all the things in your wallet, we're thinking about all those things, we're probably actively working on most of them," Bailey added. "We're starting with payments. Some are longer term, we see this as a long term journey rather than something we can solve in the next 12 months."
