
Apple iPhone 8 Could See Prolonged Shipping Delays Over Production Glitches
Apple's (AAPL) - Get Report highly anticipated 10th anniversary iPhone model, the iPhone 8, experienced production "glitches" during the early manufacturing process, which could result in prolonged shipping delays, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The iPhone 8, expected to be unveiled at an event Tuesday, was said to have production delays that set the phone's production back about a month.
If shipments of the latest iPhone model stall beyond its initial sales period, beginning Sept. 22, it could spur analysts and investors to lower estimates for the holiday season, the Journal said.
Shares of Apple were sinking lower in midday trading on Thursday.
