Apple (AAPL) - Get Apple Inc. (AAPL) Report has a problem with its newly released HomePod speakers. The device leaves ring stains on some wooden surfaces.

The vibration-dampening silicone base of the device can mark the wood, the company admitted on its updated support page. The company also said that the marks will go away "after several days" once the speaker is removed.

"The marks can be caused by oils diffusing between the silicone base and the table surface," Apple said on its support page. "If you're concerned about this, we recommend placing your HomePod on a different surface."

Apple's HomePod was released last week with a starting price of $350. The device has been lauded for the speaker quality, but has also been panned because it isn't as "smart" as similar devices like Amazon's (AMZN) - Get, Inc. Report Echo and Google's (GOOGL) - Get Alphabet Inc. Class A Report Home devices.
