The iPhone accounted for 63% of Apple's revenue in fiscal 2016 (ended last September), and an even bigger share of its gross profit. And iPhone sales tend to claim an especially large revenue share in the pivotal December quarter, particularly in years when new iPhone launches involve a number change.
