Apple Director Jerry York Dies

director Jerry York has died, according to an Apple press release.

York, 71 collapsed at his home and was hospitalized Wednesday in Pontiac, Mich. after suffering a major brain aneurysm, according to multiple reports.
York had been a CFO at IBM and Chrysler where he helped those companies through rebuilding efforts. He was also a long time member of Apple's board of directors.
"Jerry joined Apple's Board in 1997 when most doubted the company's future. He has been a pillar of financial and business expertise and insight on our Board for over a dozen years," CEO Steve Jobs said in a press release. He added: "It's been a privilege to know and work with Jerry, and I'm going to miss him a lot."
