Hewlett-Packard (HWP) picked up some positive analyst reactions to its strong first-quarter earnings and revenue, released late yesterday. Credit Suisse First Boston upped H-P's 2000 earnings view and said it sees upside in the numbers. Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown upgraded the stock to strong buy from buy, and ABN Amro lifted its fiscal-fourth-quarter estimates.
