, said the commitments include "$1.5 billion of continuation of the ongoing revenue that JAL realizes from oneworld today, $300 million in incremental revenue guarantees from American Airlines, and approximately $200 million in enhancements from British Airways."

American and its partners previously offered $1.1 billion to Japan Airlines to help with its turnaround.

The group's latest offer to money-losing Japan Airlines is an effort to keep it in the oneworld alliance.

has been seeking to help Japan Airlines and get it to join its Skyteam alliance.

Reports over the weekend said Japan Airlines

could file for bankruptcy

as early as next week.
