Beginning Tuesday, Amazon.com's (AMZN) - Get Report voice assistant Alexa will be available on the Amazon Music app for Apple's (AAPL) - Get Report iOS and Alphabet's (GOOGL) - Get Report Android in the U.S., UK, Germany and Austria.

"With Alexa in the Amazon Music app, listeners can utilize the power and simplicity of voice functionality, wherever they are," Amazon said.

Users of Amazon Music can now simply ask Alexa to play a song or browse the app's interface. Commands users can ask the smart speaker include playing a certain song, play a particular playlist, search for a song by saying lyrics or ask Alexa to play a playlist matching your current mood.

"Amazon Music customers already know and love Alexa from listening on Echo devices," stated Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music. "Now our mobile listeners can enjoy an entirely new app experience that combines the power and simplicity of Alexa voice controls with the visual richness of the Amazon Music app."

Shares of Amazon were rising nearly 1% during Tuesday morning trading.
