(AMZN) - Get, Inc. Report quietly built a team over the past year of about a dozen employees focused on driverless, the Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday, as the company looks to develop its own product delivery service.

Amazon is experimenting with multiple ways to reduce delivery costs including drone technology and other autonomous vehicles. Earlier this year, Amazon won a patent for coordinating autonomous vehicles in a roadway.

Amazon shares were up 0.16% to $909.08 early Wednesday afternoon and has risen more than 21% year to date.
