said it has teamed up with
to bid for a contract that would support Israel's short-range ballistic missile defense program.
Alliant will bid to design, fabricate, and assemble the rocket motor and case for the interceptor missile. The work will be conducted at Alliant's facilities in Rocket Center, W. Va., and Iuka, Miss.
Boeing is pursuing the missile-defense contract in partnership with Israel Aircraft Industries. The Israeli Missile Defense Organization is expected to select an Israeli-U.S. industry team this spring to move forward on the program.
Alliant's stock closed at $77.06, down 16 cents, on Monday.
