Terms weren't disclosed, but Montreal-based Alcan said its Ravenswood, W.Va., plant will supply lightweight aluminum products primarily for Boeing's 737 and 777 commercial aircraft programs.
"We believe this agreement is a clear demonstration of a growing relationship between our companies, and we are very proud of Ravenswood's successful continuation of cooperation with The Boeing Company," said Alcan's president and CEO Michel Jacques. "This contract is strategically important for Ravenswood as it represents a significant increase in its business and is a clear indication of the new initiatives underway to build a bright future for the plant."
On Monday, Alcan rose 52 cents to $31.72 and Boeing slipped 67 cents to $64.97.
