
Albertsons Attracts Possible Acquirer

and the Business paper, Tesco sent a team to the U.S. to consider a bid for the retailer.
Albertsons
announced Sept. 2 that it was considering putting itself up for sale. Based in Boise, Idaho, the supermarket chain operates about 2,500 locations, under the names Albertsons, Acme and Sav-On Drugs, in 37 states.
Shares of Albertsons closed 0.58% higher Friday, up 15 cents to $26.15.
