AK Steel (AKS) - Get Report said Monday that members of the United Steelworkers, local 169, ratified the new four-year labor agreement covering about 300 hourly production and maintenance workers at the company's Mansfield Works.
The new agreement includes competitive wage increases, measures for improved flexibility and health care cost-sharing with active and retired employees, among other provisions, the company said.
The Middletown, Ohio-based company added that the new agreement will be effective Jan. 1, 2007 through March 31, 2011, and replace the agreement expiring Feb. 10, 2007.
"Reaching agreement on a new contract well ahead of the expiration benefits our customers, the company and members of the USW," the company said.
