signed a strategic agreement with online travel company
The Orlando, Fla.-based AirTran said that their full range of products would be marketed through Expedia.com to be available online to travelers everywhere 24/7.
"The AirTran Airways business model provides travelers with low fares, new aircraft with business class on every flight, large overhead bins and XM Satellite radio as well as great customer service from friendly crew members. Delivering this service hinges on our ability to efficiently distribute our product," AirTran said. "By leveraging the broad customer reach and travel expertise of Expedia, AirTran will be able to offer the quality low-fare air service that our customers have come to expect as we continue to expand our route network to new cities across the U.S."
