Airbus SE (EADSY) said Friday that it will sell its software company Plant Holdings to Motorola Solutions Inc (MSI) - Get Report for an undisclosed price, the Wall Street Journal reported.

Plant Holdings, which functions as a unit of Airbus DS Communications, manufactures software for emergency call centers. It had about $100 million in sales last year.

The deal with Motorola is expected to close by the end of the year pending regulatory approval.

Airbus has recently attempted to focus on aircraft manufacturing, selling businesses outside of its core. Last year, the European plane maker sold the bulk of its defense electronics operations to private equity firm KKR & Co (KKR) - Get Report and said this month it was in talks to sell a helicopter repair unit to Veritas Capital Management.

Airbus stock traded up over 1% Friday morning.
