
After 32 Years Microsoft Considers Removing Iconic 'Microsoft Paint'
Microsoft has listed several features that will either be 'Removed' or 'Deprecated,' not active and may be deleted in the future.
Microsoft (MSFT) - Get Microsoft Corporation Report is examining whether to remove its iconic "Paint" feature from Windows 10, following a nearly 32-year run.
In a blog post entitled "Features that are removed or deprecated in Windows 10 Fall Creators Update" Microsoft listed some features that will either be "Removed" or "Deprecated," meaning not active and may be deleted in the future.
Microsoft Paint is on the "Deprecated" list. The list is subject to change and may not cover every deprecated feature or functionality, the company said.

Paint debuted in the first version of Windows, called Windows 1.0 in November 1985. It started as a licensed version of PC Paintbrush which was made by ZSoft Corp.
