Orlando, Fla.-based Action said the ToddWorld toys are inspired by the "very silly, very smart"
book and television series, created by author/illustrator Todd Parr and SupperTime Entertainment President Gerry Renert. Action's initial product wave consists of soft play characters Todd, Sophie, Pickle and Stella, as well as two deluxe sets featuring skateboarding Todd with his dog Benny, and Stella with removable bows and other beauty accessories. The characters will cost $14.99 each and the sets $19.99.
"With such strong support from SupperTime Entertainment, Discovery Kids, HIT Entertainment and our licensee partners, we're very excited to launch the ToddWorld soft play line in September, bringing the characters to life for millions of fans, and helping convey the important lessons of tolerance, diversity, and acceptance that ToddWorld teaches," said CEO Ron Kaplan.
