"We are revising our Time Warner Inc. (TWX-$37.97-Buy-ST Target $43, LT Target $45) estimates to reflect the 4Q11 results that were just ahead of our estimates, the solid mid-single-digit Networks ad growth (with roughly 2x the international growth as in the US), and low-teens % EPS growth guidance which we believe should be achievable (we now expect +14.6% growth to $3.31/sh, up from our prior $3.27/sh estimate)," Miller Tabak analysts said in a Feb. 13 report.

"TWC added 51K net primary service units (PSUs), a year/year growth rate of 1.5%, up from 0.8% in 3Q11 and 2Q11," Evercore Partners analysts wrote in a Feb. 1 report. "We think this run rate is understated because voice net adds improved significantly in December, driven by the new 'free DVR with triple play' promotion. Itis still too early to call the improvement a trend; however, we believe that if progress toward economic recovery continues, combined with sustained improvement in execution, it should allow TWC to maintain or further accelerate PSU growth in 2012. We believe there will be only modest negative impact to subscribers from the loss of MSG carriage as of January 1, 2012."
