Shares of the Newark, Calif., company were skyrocketing 235% to $10.85 in trading Tuesday.
Socket Mobile said the DuraSled enables users of all Apple iPhone 12 series devices to access professional-grade scanning solutions.
The ease of use and resilience of the DuraSled "make it an ideal product for delivery services, stock counting, ticketing and other application-driven mobile services," the company said.
"The DuraSled turns your iPhone into a one-handed solution that combines the versatility of the iPhone and the power of an enterprise-grade scanner," Vanessa Lindsay, senior product manager, said in a statement. "Socket Mobile Capture SDK enables the application to fully control the scanner and maximize the efficiency of the overall solution."
Lindsay said that an ever-increasing number of companies count on iPhone applications to run their businesses. Companies need to support a wide range of devices, Lindsay added, "especially if they offer their employee the option to use their own."
The Capture SDK enables easy integration into native, or web-based applications that use scanning to enhance the productivity of workers using iPhones.
Employers can now support workers who use the iPhone 12 Series in addition to supporting older iPhones such as the iPhone 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11, all using the same chargers, accessories, and SDK.
The company said the DuraSled is available in three models: the DS800, DS840 and DS860. All three come feature-packed with interchangeable accessories, and field-replaceable batteries.
