Alexander Acosta, President Trump's pick for Labor Secretary, won approval from the Senate's Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, which moves his nomination to the full Senate.

Acosta was approved in a 12-11 vote along party lines, the Wall Street Journal noted. Winning the committee approval raises the likelihood that he will be confirmed next week.

This vacancy is Trump's last remaining cabinet position that hasn't been confirmed..
