Nearly four out of every 10 jobs are at risk of being taken over by robots, according to a report released today from PricewaterhouseCoopers, a consultancy firm.
The report estimated that 38% of U.S. jobs could be at high risk of automation by the early 2030s.
Despite the figures, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is not phased by the possible displacement of U.S. workers by robots.
"It's not even on our radar screen ... 50-100 more years," Mnuchin told Axios Media today, adding, he is "not worried at all" about any displacement in the near future.
"In fact I'm optimistic," Mnuchin stated.
