Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin stated today that he believes the financial markets can still improve "significantly" once the potential for U.S. economic growth is fully reflected.

The optimism surrounding U.S. growth rooted in President Trump's economic policies including regulatory and tax reform is "definitely not all baked in" to market valuations, Mnuchin said at Axios' News Shapers event this morning.

"I think there is some good news that's baked in, but yet, I think there is further room for significant growth in the economy that would be reflected in the markets," Mnuchin noted.
