
SEC Chair Nominee Clayton To Get Senate Panel Vote in April
Jay Clayton was nominated to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission by President Trump in January.
The U.S. Senate Banking Committee said today that a vote on the nomination of Jay Clayton, President Trump's choice to lead the Securities and Exchange Commission, will take place next week.
Following the panel vote on April 4, Clayton will still need to be confirmed by the full U.S. Senate before he being sworn in as SEC chairman.
