was the worst-performing stock in the
S&P 500
intraday Wednesday.
The S&P 500 was falling almost 16 points, or 1.19%, to 1,316 on Wednesday.
Shares of Sears fell 7.74% to $53.05. It's not clear what was accounting for the decline. The retailer will report monthly sales on Thursday.
Five of the six analysts who cover Sears rated it sell; one analyst gave the stock a hold rating.
The stock has risen 64.35% year to date.
