London's Metropolitan Police have said they are treating the incident that has taken place around in the U.K. parliament as a terrorist attack.
Britain's parliament remains on lockdown after police allegedly shot and killed an attacker who stabbed a law enforcement officer outside the Palace of Westminster. Lawmakers have suspended sessions for the remainder of the day and several media outlets are reporting people were also injured along Westminster Bridge, which runs adjacent to the Parliament.
There are also reports that armed police have entered the House of Parliament. Members of Parliament, who were in session at the time, are locked in the chambers and Prime Minister Theresa May is safe, according to an official statement.
