Fast-food giant McDonald's reports its third-quarter results on Thursday. Analysts are calling for earnings of $1.27 a share on revenue of a little under $6.5 billion. Since Steve Easterbrook took the helms as the new CEO in March, a few Wall Street firms have made some bullish calls on the company.

As part of its turnaround efforts, the company launched its All Day Breakfast Menu nationally. Even though the company has seen success, many of its chains are criticizing this initiative, saying that the new menu is causing chaos in the kitchen and slowing down service.

On the economic calendar are the housing market index, followed by housing starts on Tuesday. The MBA mortgage applications will come out mid-week, followed by jobless claims and existing home sales data Thursday. Friday is the PMI manufacturing index.
