The petroleum and energy services company said it expects to earn between 25 cents and 27 cents for the quarter, including discontinued operations. The company earned 17 cents in the year-ago period, and 20 analysts polled by

are calling for Halliburton to earn 26 cents in the current period.
The company also announced it will split into two units, the Halliburton Energy Services Group and the Engineering and Construction Group. The company said it expects to incur $25 million in charges related to the reorganization.
