"Fast Money" think that market players should get into
Goldman Sachs Group
(GS) - Get Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (The) Report
ahead of the company's potential spinoff of its proprietary trading business. On Wednesday's "Halftime Report" segment, Jon Najarian told viewers that the spinoff is a good reason to buy the stock and that he likes the idea.
Joe Terranova said he's bullish on Goldman because the move allows the firm to keep intellectual capital and not have any restrictions on the business its best at. He also likes the stock from a technical perspective, and he thinks it's
. Terranova told investors to get into Goldman at current levels.
Zach Karabell cautioned investors from buying the stock in the high 150s, but he did say the stock is fine.
Brain Kelly mentioned that Goldman has already had a huge run, and he doesn't think the spinoff is a reason to get long the name right now. However, he said that if you're bullish on the financial sector, then a long position in Goldman makes sense.
