Bundled securities tracking energy were the strongest performers among exchange-traded funds Tuesday, as crude oil rose $1.13 to $58.94 a barrel.

Exchange-traded funds following metals and mining were also higher for the session. Gold finished the session with a gain of $1.20, to $668.50 an ounce, and silver added 20 cents, to $13.91 an ounce.
