Monday's ETF Winners & Losers

Precious metals and energy-related ETFs rise.

ETFs related to commodities were among the top performers Monday, as gold and silver prices jumped. Recently, gold was up $5 to $581.80 an ounce, and silver was gaining 26 cents to $11.43 an ounce.

The

SPDR Metals & Mining

(XME) - Get SPDR S&P Metals & Mining ETF Report

ETF was higher by $1.23, or 2.9%, to $43.30. The

iShares Silver Trust

(SLV) - Get iShares Silver Trust Report

ETF tacked on $2.18, or 2%, to $113.13.

The

Market Vectors Gold Miners

(GDX) - Get VanEck Gold Miners ETF Report

ETF was gaining 24 cents, or 0.7%, to $34.61, and the

streetTRACKS Gold Shares

(GLD) - Get SPDR Gold Shares Report

ETF was up 40 cents, or 0.7%, to $57.39.

Energy-related ETFs rose as crude retraced some of the recent losses that have brought prices to their lowest levels in more than a year. Crude futures were recently adding $1.37 to $61.13 a barrel.

ETF was higher by 88 cents, or 2.6%, to $34.23. The

iShares Dow Jones U.S. Home Construction

(ITB) - Get iShares U.S. Home Construction ETF Report

ETF was adding $1.07, or 2.9%, to $38.60.

On the flipside, the

Internet Infrastructure HOLDRs

(IIH)

ETF was falling, as

Akamai Technologies

(AKAM) - Get Akamai Technologies, Inc. Report

sank 1.1%. The ETF was lower by 7 cents, or 1.3%, to $5.44.

Also among decliners, the

iShares Dow Jones U.S. Healthcare Provider

(IHF) - Get iShares U.S. Healthcare Providers ETF Report

was down 49 cents, or 0.9%, to $52.52. Major holding

dropped nearly 7% after UBS downgraded the company to neutral from buy.
