was higher by 1.7% to $138.94.
ETFs tracking homebuilders were also higher thanks to gains of 4% or more in
iShares Dow Jones U.S. Home Construction
ETF was higher by 3.3% at $44.45. The
ETF was adding 2.4% to $39.67.
Exchange-traded funds following metals and mining were among the big decliners. Gold finished the session with loss of $11.50 to $651.50 an ounce, and silver slumped 35 cents to $13.37 an ounce.

was lower by 1.9% to $133.45. The
iShares Comex Gold Trust
ETF was losing 1.6% to $64.24. The
streetTRACKS Gold Shares
ETF was down 1.6% to $64.18. The
Market Vectors Gold Miners
ETF shed 1.2% to $39.36.
